I have a question submitted for the Townhall Media/Change Politics Town Hall. Please upvote it…

…if you like it, of course.  You can also upvote some of the other RedState Contributor questions, if you care to. I personally think that it’s a pretty good question:

And I’d love an answer to it from all of the candidates.

  1. Asking what type of judge they would nominate for SCOTUS is a good idea, the “give a specific name” part is a non-starter though, if for no other reason than you don’t throw somebody’s name out there like that without speaking with them privately first.

Exactly…any prospective conservative appointee would find crazed protesters on their front lawn before the day was out, while the MSM slimed their life, career and family.

It’s a very good question but one that the opposition renders impossible to answer. Even what type of judge or judicial temperament will create a confabulated witch hunt among the nation’s judiciary.

      1. How about amending your question to “Which particular past or current Supreme Court Justices do you particularly admire, and why?” That way you could get a sense of the temperament of future appointees without giving the Supposedly Loyal Opposition an opportunity to Bork them.

  3. Well, Moe, I really like you. But NO. naming names would just short circuit potential really good appointees.

By the by, the beard is looking FINE.

      1. Huh. That’s the first photo of you that I’ve seen. Somehow I’d always pictured you as looking more like Cary Grant.
