The New York Times, as usual, buries the lede on Hurricane Sandy relief efforts.

It set out to write a painfully self-torturous article on how Hurricane Sandy reveals class divisions, yadda yadda – and in the process the author wrote this:

Moments later, a white woman leaned down to address his daughter. “Have you eaten in two days?” she asked.

Mr. Ossy surged with outrage. Power was out, yes, and nights were cold for sure, but Mr. Ossy, a taxi driver proud of the long days he works to earn money for his family, was insulted by the suggestion that his daughter was not well cared for.

The New York Times decided to title the article “Helping Hands Also Expose a New York Divide.”  I suggest that next time it instead try this headline:

IT’S BEEN THREE DAMNED WEEKS AND THE POWER’S STILL OUT.

But that’s just me.  The Hell, Bloomberg.
