I’ve been listening to the latest U2 album…

…the one (Songs of Innocence) that’s only available via iTunes, but is available for free.  So far?  This was a very nice gift that U2 gave me.  I appreciate it greatly.  If you like the band, you should like the album.  It also feels a bit like U2 doesn’t know how many more albums they have in them, so they tried to make this one meaningful.

Even if you’re upset about the fact that it got tossed into your library whether you asked for it or not – and, hoo, boy, but apparently a lot of people are – …yeah, OK, that was obnoxious.  But I really like the album anyway so far.  A couple of the tracks are going to be going on heavy rotation.

Pretty cool: U2’s new album free on iTunes.

Nice deal, if you have iTunes.

Apple is giving away U2’s new album, “Songs of Innocence,” for free exclusively on its iTunes store through Oct. 13.

The company made the announcement after the band performed at the end of the company’s two-hour press event, where it unveiled larger iPhones and the first Apple Watch, its foray into the wearable tech market.

Listening to it now.  Not bad.
