It’s currently the #1 Kindle book, ahead of Lee Child’s Persuader (which Amazon’s giving away for free to promote his new novel next month), all 4 Twilight books, and the Bible. It’s only a matter of time before they start blaming mass murders on him.
They’ll just wait until the next time there’s a downtick in Online Left hitcount.
I’m sorry, but regardless of the specifics in this case, if the Anchoress doesn’t think that snotty, arrogant, ignorant, Democratic Underground-reading (but I repeat myself) bookstore employees don’t treat books by rightys differently from how they treat books by leftys, she’s letting personal bias get in the way.
Now, I’m not saying that random bookstore employees deserve abuse like that. Nor am I saying every case of a book going missing is due to sabotage. Nor do I mean to group *all* bookstore employees into the above category. Far from it.
But we shouldn’t completely dismiss the idea that bookstores have biases.
