I think #2 is too busy, unfortunately.
Probably. But it’s pretty.
While the second one is too busy, the first one is way too small. And while I like the current background, it’s not setting the right mood for a semi-political blog. Maybe a world (or US) map as a background would go along with the globe icon you have.
Since your current background image slows my scrolling to a crawl in Firefox, I disable it. The fun’s not in the background anyway.
If Durer is too busy, Dore’ would probably be downright manic.
That said, I’m a fan of Paradiso plate 34.
Jeff: Odd. Firefox handles it fine here. What version do you have?
