I’m not really checked out on this fight between Redskins owner Dan Snyder and Washington City Paper. But I do know that it’s producing epic-level snark elsewhere:
I just want you to know you have my full support in this matter, as I support everything you have done during your stewardship of the Redskins. You rock. I wish you good health and long life and hope you run the franchise for many, many years to come. I say this with utmost sincerity as a lifelong fan of the New York Giants.
It gets better from there, so read the whole thing.
I don’t have the heart to cheer for the Redskins anymore, and I’m of the belief nothing will get better until Snyder is not the owner.
So, basically, nothing ever will.
This is the second article this week I’ve ready by Gene Weingarten, the other being his test drive of the Chevy Volt. I’m begining to like the cut of that man’s jib.
My favorite line:
“… by bringing a vast new audience to a three-month-old, otherwise-obscure alternative-media piece, which can be found here.”
As a Dallas Cowboys fan, Snyder is about the best possible case for ownership of the Redskins. And hey, it’s nice that there are at least a couple of owners worse than the Cowboys.
