“Getting a new item pack for your Dragon Age 2 characters” is pretty much semantically equivalent to “buying new dresses for your dolls,” isn’t it?
I know, I know: they’re not dolls, they’re action figures.
…and I don’t know where that quote comes from. Toy Story? Small Soldiers?
Um, you mean a friend of yours did that, right? RIGHT?
Pretty sure that quote comes from a real life toy company boardroom in the 60s, when figuring out how to market dolls to boys.
According to IMDB, it’s something called “Boys With Toys”, which appears to have been a documentary in 1999. I suspect the phrase went viral in some circles not long afterward, or that some other folks had been using it before, but quick Googling doesn’t get anything earlier.
Jimmy Neutron. I have kids, so it’s not nerdy for me to know that.
