Gotta admit, I’d watch this:
Da Vinci’s Demons (Starz)
What: Steam-punk version of history with Leonardo da Vinci as a Renaissance-era Tony Stark.
Only, it’d be clockwork-punk. Not that I’m being pedantic, or anything.

Still will count as steampunk since I’m guessing they would be able to resist inserting steam powered things without realizing that its anachronistic to the time. I don’t hols out much hope, though. The Venn Diagram of “Shows I think are cool” and “Shows that get canceled quickly” has a lot of overlap. Remember Q.E.D?
They can claim he uncovered lost works of Hero of Alexandria and got steam power from there.
“Remember Q.E.D?”
Holy Cow! I’m not the only one?
What a cool idea, though. The adventures of a super genius. People will watch.
Strikes me as a bit of a rip on the current Marvel book SHIELD by Hickman http://www.amazon.com/S-H-I-L-D-Architects-Jonathan-Hickman/dp/0785148949
Which is quite good.
If no one speaks English, I’ll watch it.
I remember QED! I thought it was a fun show, and was very disappointed when it got cancelled.
As for steampunk — have you seen Warehouse 13, on the Syfy channel? It has some steampunk machinery, and other gadgets comparable to Star Trek phasers and communicators.
I think Warehouse 13 is a fun show (action-adventure-comedy), and wonder why more people don’t watch it.
Anyway, try Warehouse 13 — they even had a storyline about H.G. Wells (arriving in our time). Also the occasional really Big Explosion.
P.S. — If you are male, and you HAVE seen WH13, and you DIDN’T like it, I’d be interested to know why. Because it seems many of the fans online (and I) are female.
