The news that Rep. Sheila Jackson-Lee (D-Texas) will face a Left-side challenge from Maurice Duhon Jr (a Houston political blogger and rapper [under the name of Cornbreadd]) may not seem to be the most relevant news out there. But consider the contrast between Duhon’s statement here:
“I plan to introduce and participate in an evolved and updated political conversation with the residents and business owners of the 18th district and her surrounding areas.”
…and this:
[Duhon] will host one of the most interestingly titled campaign fundraisers we’ve ever heard of, “WHO and WHAT is an Uncle Tom? A Retrospective Conversation” at 6:30 p.m. next Wednesday, Feb. 29…
That would make for an epic moment in a debate. I might, in fact, even be willing to pay money to see somebody call Sheila Jackson-Lee an Uncle Tom (what’s the equivalent term for a female?) to her face…

PS: I would just like to note for the record – yet again – that Rep. Sheila Jackson-Lee is one of the stupidest people in Congress. Not that such a note is really relevant in this context, but I would be up tossing and turning tonight if I allowed an opportunity to point this out slip through my fingers.

Well, it is at least sort of relevant, since Mr. Duhon is notably bright — bright enough to not trust recording company executives, for instance. Ideologue, O yes mama, and from the J. Wright school, which makes some of the stuff out of his mouth seem idiotic; it isn’t, it’s just cant, which such people can’t (!) keep from popping out, in exactly the same way rednecks tend to overuse the participle of the f-word. But stoopid he ain’t, no way, no how.
One of the most stupidest people in congress? She is by far the most stupidest of stupidest.
