#rsrh TX-18(?) Update: Sheila Jackson-Lee versus… rapper Cornbreadd.

Question mark because, well, we don’t know what the CD boundaries are going to be in Texas.

The news that Rep. Sheila Jackson-Lee (D-Texas) will face a Left-side challenge from Maurice Duhon Jr (a Houston political blogger and rapper [under the name of Cornbreadd]) may not seem to be the most relevant news out there.  But consider the contrast between Duhon’s statement here:

“I plan to introduce and participate in an evolved and updated political conversation with the residents and business owners of the 18th district and her surrounding areas.”

…and this:

[Duhon] will host one of the most interestingly titled campaign fundraisers we’ve ever heard of, “WHO and WHAT is an Uncle Tom? A Retrospective Conversation” at 6:30 p.m. next Wednesday, Feb. 29…

#rsrh Sheila Jackson-Lee is dead to shame?

Not to mention lacking: common sense; civility; an awareness of basic etiquette; and, if this report is correct, basic human decency – but that’s a different issue. Anyway, Rep. Jackson-Lee thinks that we’re opposing President Obama because President Obama is black:

The reason why I say ‘dead to shame’ in the title is because it’s obvious to anyone with a triple-digit IQ that the only reason why Sheila Jackson-Lee is still gainfully employed is because of racial gerrymandering, coupled with incumbency. The reason for the question mark? Well, that’s because I’m not sure Rep. Jackson-Lee meets the benchmark laid out in that first sentence.

They all look alike to Sheila Jackson-Lee (D, TX-18).

[UPDATE]: Ace of AoSHQ makes a point about the Congressional Record that I no longer have to get around to making, and Allahpundit of Hot Air lets us know that this was not the dumbest thing Rep. Jackson-Lee said today.

I was sent this video of Rep. Sheila Jackson-Lee’s announcement of the survival of South Vietnam to the present era with a simple “Words escape me.”

Well, that’s why I’m here.

‘Doctor’ at Jackson-Lee town hall: lying, and defensive about it.

Unrepentant liar, astroturfer, lacking in manners, plausible link to radical left-wing activist: if I was going to create someone designed to discredit health care rationing supporters, the result would look just like Roxana Mayer.

I covered this briefly yesterday on another social media site (which is a pretentious way of saying that I Twittered it): Patterico’s Pontifications tracked down a ‘Doctor’ Roxana Mayer who spoke in favor of health care rationing at what is rapidly becoming Sheila Jackson-Lee’s infamous town hall event. It turns out that she’s not a doctor; she was a state Obama delegate, and is an out-of-district graduate student in sociology.  When Patterico called her on it, her response was this:

Do you mean play a doctor like you play a journalist? Then the answer is no. But who knows, that was only my first town hall meeting–even though I was a delegate. If I go to another one, which I seriously doubt because my husband is already extremely annoyed, then maybe I’ll play a plumber.

Rep. Sheila Jackson-Lee (D, TX-18) just *loves* town halls.

It’s just that she loves talking on her cell phone more.

The clip is from a longer one made by a 9/11 Truther, by the way. Which is very funny, because if the Democrats are losing that subset of their party over health care rationing then they’re in real trouble.
