Sorry. I don’t follow OOTS so I think I’m missing the point.
…You don’t follow OOTS, Cam?
Dude. I mean, if you don’t like it or think that it’s meh, that’s OK. But if you’ve just never gotten around to reading it…
Dude.
I read the first 5 strips and it just didn’t gel with me. *penitent look*
Either the Draketooths were being *really* clannish . . . or the spell got in-laws as well as blood relations. Ouch.
Who’da thought a nearly 3-year old brick joke would hit so hard when it came down?
This also explains a couple of other things…
****SPOILER ALERT****
The “mysterious circumstances” death of Tarquin’s wife, Penelope fits the time frame…it looks to me that she was a (possibly unknowing) descendant/relative of the Ancient Black Dragon. This would also explain why Orrin Draketooth went to the trouble of having a baby by her…it would reinforce the Draketooth bloodline.
Brian–if she had a part-black-dragon child she’s a relative of that family. No ancestry needed.
Now for the fun part: How to break this to the rest of the party?
Wow. Actions have consequences. Also, it sucks to be an imperfect protagonist, huh?
It’s been long enough that I had to think about it for a minute.
Apparently, Dragons get around.

Explains the name “Draketooth”, then, don’t it…?

“Um, guys…?”
