Reassuringly positive, although I am a little surprised to hear that Ed’s never read any of the Barsoom novels. I did – and actually am rereading them now; two bucks on the Kindle – and I’m looking forward to seeing it on Wednesday with my wife.
Also via Hot Air is the latest trailer:

As I said, looking forward to it.
Moe Lane
I think you can actually get free versions of most if not all of them from Project Gutenberg, Moe. But two bucks certainly isn’t bad to pay for something with decent formatting and such.
Skip: yup. Plus, one or two bucks is a reasonable price for not having to spend the extra time tracking down a free version and transferring it to my Kindle manually.
Saw it Friday. Good action film. They’ve taken a couple of liberties, but it still felt like it worked. My first 3d film, and it didn’t get in the way, at least.
Max Uriarte, who draws the webcomic Terminal Lance, went to see it and thought it was occasionally confusing, but didn’t suck. [Warning, review contains spoilers.]
Spoilers? On a book over a hundred years old? Next people will be wanting spoiler warnings on Shakespeare.
Yeah, I think that it’s a little late to worry about revealing plot details. 🙂
Howard Tayler has another positive review over at Schlock Mercenary.
