…with their teeth. Apparently Solicitor General David Verelli was… a typical member of this administration, frankly. Which is to say: ill-prepared, ill-advised, and ill-suited for the task put out in front of him. And it cost him – and by implication, his boss:
Call it The Faceplant Heard ‘Round The Nation. CNN legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin, who had earlier predicted that the Supreme Court would uphold the individual mandate, called the first half of oral arguments on the issue “a train wreck for the Obama administration,” and openly predicted that the court would overturn at least that part of ObamaCare…
Someday I hope to see an Obama administration official take his or her job and/or responsibilities as seriously as I do. Could that happen soon? That would be spiffy, thanks.

PS: Find out what Justice Kennedy had for breakfast today. ANALYZE ITS CHEMICAL CONTENT. It’s time that we did some SCIENCE to this problem.
Let’s not get cocky – It ain’t over yet.
If you hear anything on the variation of “….penumbras(sic?) of The Constitution…”, run for cover.
The Apocalypse will have begun….
Find out what Justice Kennedy had for breakfast today.
I shared your bacon-wrapped tater tot recipe with him. Was that okay?
Beej: up the dosage.
These clowns are like members of the Five Timers Club: “You’re great!” “No, you’re great!”
I stand by my prediction.
They didn’t see the stupidity in the law. If I don’t buy insurance, they will fine me, if I can’t pay the fine I go to jail. The Government will then Have to provide me with Healthcare, AT THEIR EXPENSE! Game set and match. Simply don’t buy Health Insurance, and force the Government to provide it for you with the slight downside of jail. If enough people go to jail the Government breaks.
@Ric – I hope you are wrong. Maybe the liberal/activist judges will vote against ObamaCare to give them some semblance of credibility. Hahaha…who am I fooling? We’re screwed.
Jetty — I would be overjoyed to be wrong. But I don’t expect it.
The one, tiny hope is that one or more of the leftoid Justices will notice that “My first act will be to repeal Obamacare!” will be a winning campaign slogan this fall, and vote against it to get that issue out of the way. As Moe continually reminds us, the number of leftoids who are that self-aware is minuscule, and there is no evidence that any of the ones on the Court are among that vanishingly-small number.
