#rsrh An entertaining 5 minutes, 12 seconds of Obamaflack Ben LaBolt killing his soul.

Or at least stabbing it in the kidney a few times.  Jen Rubin has it right: when you are a spokesman for a candidate and your TV appearance is being sent around by the Other Side’s spokesmen, you had a bad TV appearance.

PS: You want a transcript?  …Well, all right:

Anderson Cooper: So, tell me why Obama thinks that there are good private equity companies, and bad private equity companies.

Ben LaBolt: SQUIRREL! SQUIRREL! SQUIRREL! SQUIRREL! SQUIRREL! SQUIRREL! SQUIRREL! SQUIRREL! SQUIRREL! SQUIRREL! SQUIRREL! SQUIRREL! SQUIRREL! SQUIRREL! SQUIRREL! SQUIRREL! SQUIRREL! SQUIRREL! SQUIRREL! MUSHROOM, MUSHROOM! SQUIRREL! SQUIRREL! SQUIRREL! SQUIRREL! SQUIRREL! SQUIRREL! SQUIRREL! SQUIRREL! SQUIRREL! SQUIRREL! SQUIRREL! SQUIRREL! SQUIRREL! SQUIRREL! SQUIRREL! SQUIRREL! SQUIRREL! SQUIRREL!

Cooper: …doofus.

  1. Entertaining? You keep using that word, I do not thinking means what you think it means.

I wanted to kill myself after about 15 seconds, and I’m surprised I made it that far. Good thing you had the transcript for me to read.

    1. Joanna, Dan: What? Couldn’t you see the burning soul screaming its life away behind LaBolt’s eyes? Or hear it? – I had to turn the sound down at one point.

  2. What’s happening to Cooper? He used to be solid liberal, but lately he has been making actual critical comments about Obama.

  3. Spegen – Maybe Cooper sees the writing on the wall and has realized that after the election, it might have some serious value to be the sole major journalist on either CNN or MSNBC to have a reputation for not being a complete partisan hack. Mene, mene, tekel, upharsin…

  4. Since Benny-Boy never gets to the point and continually deflects any coherent responses, this explains Barry’s version of ‘smarts.’ seems like the plan is just to ramble, mouth inanities, and use really bad representation as a plus.

But I’m gettin’ the drift that Andy sees some serious mileage here.
As the old blues standard goes: “…take your pleasure, where you find it..”
