Chaffetz was responding to the news that yet another member of the DC city government – Kwame Brown, DC Council Chairman – was up on felony charges:
“City leaders keep arguing for more autonomy, but it’s hard to get there when so many people keep getting indicted,” said Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah), a member of the House Government Reform and Oversight Committee, which has jurisdiction over District matters.
I mean, that’s just cruel and vicious and mean of the Congressman to say. I’m particularly offended that he got to say them before I did.
