I mean, I’m sure that Speaker Boehner appreciates Podesta’s ‘apology’…
In an old interview, my snark got in front of my judgment. I apologize to Speaker Boehner, whom I have always respected.

…which is more of an excuse (“equating Republicans to murderers” = “snark,” in this administration). But as the Washington Post reminds us (H/T: Hot Air):
A new Politico profile quotes Podesta as likening the GOP to “a cult worthy of Jonestown” — a reference to an ambush by cult members more than three decades ago that killed Rep. Leo J. Ryan (D-Calif.) and seriously injured a top aide, now-Rep. Jackie Speier (D-Calif.).
Rep. Speier is not on my Christmas card list, and I am not on hers. But Podesta should have apologized to her (and to Rep. Ryan’s surviving family) first. I mean, we over here on the Right are used to Democrats speaking in a inappropriately partisan and trivializing way about disasters and outrages; it seems just a little unpleasant that people like Podesta think that they can do the same thing to people on their side of the aisle, too.
Bad form, White House. Bad form.

Jim Jones led a multicultural shared the wealth, messianic movement. Sound more like Obama and OFA than any Republican I know. And I cannot see the Tea Party lining up to drink the kool-aid.
However, as Ace points out (over at Ace of Spades: http://ace.mu.nu/archives/345820.php) Barbara Walters *does* believe in the Cult of Obama.
