People like Alan Grayson are why I try not to hate people.

I am afraid that if I started, I won’t be able to turn that sh*t off.  And if I can’t turn that sh*t off, it’s gonna eventually bleed over into the rest of my life.

Case in point:

A judge has granted a temporary protective injunction against U.S. Rep. Alan Grayson, after his wife filed paperwork accusing the Orlando congressman of shoving and injuring her during an incident this weekend.

Lolita Grayson’s petition for the injunction, dated Monday, says her husband pushed her against a door, causing her to fall to the ground, during a confrontation Saturday at their home on Oak Park Road, near Windermere.

In a statement, Alan Grayson’s press secretary Lauren Doney wrote that the allegations “are absolutely false, completely unfounded, and clearly designed to vilify and harm Congressman Grayson.”

The entire Right-wing blogosphere is going to link to this story, so let me just end this on a prayer.  Well, two.  The first is for the Grayson family, which is clearly all in need of some comfort, grace, and serenity in their lives right now.  The second is an entreaty to God that I never find myself in a position where I have to say things like that about the mother of my children.

  1. Just for giggles, use your search engine to find the address listed above for the Grayson family home. Then compare it to the map for Florida’s 9th Congressional District. Yep, he used a rental property as his address to run in that district. Doesn’t actually live there… although he may have to soon.

I’m glad you don’t hate, Moe. Me? For this guy, I have a hard time not doing it.

    1. Hatred takes a lot of effort. This worm isn’t worth it.
Despise him. It’s more appropriate, and better for you.

    1. And whenever you mention Grayson, call him “accused wife-battering Democrat Congressman Alan Grayson” — he’d do the same for us. Don’t forget to change it to “convicted wife-battering Democrat Congressman Alan Grayson” when the time comes. After all, hate is one thing, and truth-in-labeling is another.

Whenever a press secretary says something like this but the politician himself does not, I assume the press secretary is lying. I haven’t been wrong yet.

  2. Do I hate Alan Grayson? No. Do I loathe him? Most certainly. Do I think that comparing him to pond scum is insulting to pond scum? Exactly.

  3. I am not sure Hate is the operative emotion with Grayson, anger maybe, anger that everyone is so much more intelligent than he is. To say Grayson is as dumb as box of hammers reflects poorly on the intellect of hammers. After all they are good at what they do.

  4. Is there anyone her who is surprised by this? Anyone at all?
    .
I’m sure that this will somehow become Bush’s fault, because War on Women…
