Eh, some of the early videos (MTV launched way back in 1981 and played nothing but videos, kids) were pretty awful. Compare this to XTC’s “Senses Working Overtime” video and .. yeah.

The interesting thing about the “Fat Bottomed Girls” video is it looks very “cut together”, like it’s made out of pieces filmed for some other project, but .. the early days of music videos weren’t .. pretty.
