It’s not nuts. He’s using his position as Senate majority leader to demagogue the sh*t outta the Koch Bros to attract similar donors to his own Super PAC, which so far has been very aggressive and effective in both AR and MI.
at one time, yes. only the stupidest leftwing idiots would ever have bought it, but yes, that was the intent behind the origin of the “evil kock brothers” line of attack (which reid himself didn’t originate of course). but I think reid’s truly off his rocker now.
Tell the Big Lie, and tell it often. Reid is a believer in that, I’m sure. By toeing the party line, he’s also demonstrating that he is “of the body.” The wilder the accusations, the more he demonstrates his fealty.
What he’s doing is rational, from a certain perspective. Not crazy.
