I’m just wondering why this song recently started popping up on top 40 radio stations again. It’s 20 years old. It hasn’t been covered, or even remixed. But there it is, mixed in with today’s bubblegum pop.

I’m pretty sure we can attribute this to the Stonecutters*

Oh, that’s an easy one, Luke .. it’s a fun little tune with no particular baggage or downsides, people like it.

Given the state of the music industry (“suck” dial is stuck at 11 … http://www.showbiz411.com/?p=42723&preview=true) there just isn’t much new stuff to actually *like* out there.

p.s. Using Junior Cat as an example is risky, of course, but .. the suck knob is stuck at 11 because he (and others) are listening to glitch-hop on youtube. The last time “top 40” was this far out of touch, of course, was during the Age of Disco. Yet another proof we’re re-living the 1970s.
