It’s a beautiful day out and my family is visiting. Shoo! Shoo! :making vague waving motions: Go fire up the grill, or something. Or maybe hit a jazz/wine festival – YES, YOU ARE PROBABLY OLD ENOUGH TO BE ONE OF ‘THOSE PEOPLE’ – or, well, anything else. Shoot, even a movie at least gets you out of the house.
Seriously, folks, go have a nice morning.
My friends decided to wait until the 9:45pm showing of Avengers, but plenty of yard-work to last until then.
1. Today isn’t a yardwork day.
.
2. The most interesting thing to do outside the house is on break for finals. Why, in my day, I didn’t quit like that, because I didn’t have time for extracurricular activities at all.
.
3. I’m teetotal, probably wouldn’t like any sort of music festival, and don’t make time for grilling.
.
4. The last movie I watched was Pacific Rim, likewise after a many year spell of not seeing movies.
.
5. I already had plans to budget, detail, and analyze parts of solving a problem so that it stops needing attention. Plus a meeting with one of the principles.
.
6. I suspect I had a full night’s sleep, I’m going to have a good breakfast, things are looking up.
.
7. As time permits, I will take a walk. There won’t be anything new at the bookstore, but exercise helps.
Well, don’t I feel sheepish.
Quit taunting me! Like I’m going to be able to leave the store on Free Comicbook Day……….
That is taunting. I’m stuck indoors. At a kids dance competition. All day.
On the bright side, I have a smartphone. With a kindle app.
Morning? On the weekends, I’m an “up at the crack of noon” guy.
Saw Avengers 2 Thursday night, though, and it is worthy.
Umm. Yeah. “Daredevil” on Netflix. That’s my day.
I went outside once.
–
It was terrible.
Awesome graphics, but game-play and the UI both suck……..
