We over/underestimate the difference between online opinion and public opinion at our peril. Not that this will stop anybody from doing that, of course. Probably not even me.
Twitter is like the world’s largest bar, and like any bar it is filled with loudmouths. And the opinions found on Twitter should be treated exactly the same as that of the loudmouth in the bar.
