Although obviously I’m not trying to rip these guys off. There’s an ongoing argument over whether musicians are helped or hurt by YouTube. Certainly I buy more music now. And you certainly should never pirate a song.
My guess is, the really big musical acts have been hurt by the internet. And the local, would never have gotten a recording contract in the 80s groups are helped.
For the record, Abney Park has asked that their fans listen to them on YouTube, instead of any of the other options. Besides buying their music, of course.
Always nice to hear the Kingston Trio.
