Tweet/Quote of the Day, 2015 Is Pretty Much A Silly-Season Year In The 2016 Election Cycle edition.

This is insightful (which is, of course, code for “I’ve been saying this for a while now myself”):

One reason I don’t sweat Trump too much. What’s the point? He’s not going to make it to the actual primaries anyway.

  1. You mean everybody getting themselves worked up into a lather about the candidates now means actually nothing?

But, but, but – I have so much invested in my emotions! And this list! Have you seen this list? *unrolls list that goes to the floor and then continues unrolling out the door.*
On this list I have every issue that I go to eleventy about! If a candidate fails to match my momentary passion on any of these issues they are dead to me!

And you are saying this means nothing?
I-I may have to sit down, I feel faint.

    1. I believe that a Sanders/Bush match up in the general election would pretty much guarantee a Trump third party run, with a 50/50 chance of a Trump victory. So you may get your wish.
