Quote of the Day, That Carly Fiorina Did edition.

Rather massively, in fact.

or years, the mainstream media, pop culture, and the conventions of politics have jammed pro-life politicians and activists into a box. In this, the most consequential of debates, in which millions of innocent lives hang in the balance, it is imperative that one not show too much emotion, that one be nice — not scary. A politician can thunder about income inequality, about manufacturing jobs, or about a degree or two on the thermometer, but when it comes to babies being dismembered in the womb, let’s just be civil, shall we?

Last night, Carly Fiorina broke the convention.

Read, as they say, the whole thing.

  1. We shall see. I may, in fact, be able to support a Fiorina presidential bid. MAY I have not, to this point, taken a serious look at her.. OF course, she would have to actually win the nomination first, and that’s about as likely as ‘teh Donald’ growing some couth. The establishment seems determined to have Jeb, and to hell with the voters.

    My impressions, thus far:
    .
Scott Walker and Rand Paul don’t really seem to be all that interested in actually fighting for the nomination, so there go my top two going in. If you won ‘t fight for the job, you probably won’t be very effective at it.

I… would have voted for Perry (somewhat unenthusiastically, but I’d’ve voted for him. He seemed decent)
    .
Donald Trump is a clown show. Period. I’ll stay home.
    .
Jeb and C.C. are more interested in sucking up to democrats than anything else. I’ll stay home.
    .
Rubio is dead to me after his betrayal on immigration. I will never be able to see him as anything other than traitorous slime. IMO, he lacks anything resembling a character. I’ll stay home.
    .
Ted Cruz I like…as a Senator, representing the voters of Texas. I don’t think he has a broad enough appeal for the presidency. I guess I’d vote for him, even though he wouldn’t be my choice.
    .
John Kasich has managaged to leave no impression on me at all. As of now, I wouldn’t remember to go to the polls were he the nominee.
    .
Anybody I left out doesn’t even register with me, soooo… yeah, they’re basically out of the running, most likely.
    .
This election will be a referendum on which party is hated the least. As of now, I can’t tell. Everybody I know wants… I’ll just say ‘a new slate of candidates on both sides’, and leave it at that.

  2. I think she’s a hypocrite on abortion, and is a better-looking, more articulate version of Hillary, or John McCain in drag (take your pick).

God help us this election cycle.

    1. There are a few tens of millions murdered babies, enshrining blasphemy as law, and a betrayal of Israel that make his help somewhat unlikely.
