You are wise, I know the feeling. When my cat died about four years ago (he had been in decline for about three months so we knew it was coming), not only did I stay off the Internet for about half a week but I took a couple days off my contract job as well, because I was past that mode and into “rip off their head, (excrement) down their throat and (urinate) on their grave” mode.
