Reminder: GOP Debate tonight.

It will probably be – almost certainly be – heavy on national security. Particularly terrorism, now that Islamist jihadists feel comfortable with committing atrocities on American soil. I also expect that two, maybe three candidates will end up saying things that will sabotage their campaigns tonight – and no, I’m not going to say which ones.

Debate’s 8:30 PM tonight, on CNN.  I’ll be watching it, because the Republic requires my sacrifice. …Gee. Thanks, Republic.

    1. A Democratic debate would do it’s level best to ignore the problem, as was attempted recently.

Republicans can apparently roll with it.

Take that comparison as you will.

      1. Republicans are used to having to deal with unpleasant truths, insistent reality, and uncomfortable silences. Democrats are immatures living in mom’s basement in comparison.

Mom: “Demmy, aren’t you going to get a job?”
Dem: “Ma, I have a job.”
Mom: “Working at that comic book store isn’t a real job, I mean one you can get married on.”
Dem: “Ma! How many times do I got to say it, they’re graphic novels! I’m putting people in touch with literature and foreign thought!”
Mom: “All those Japanese comics look like they put their readers in touch with something that isn’t thought.”
*she walks off into the laundry room and starts the washer and dryer*
Dem: “Oh thanks mom! The power went out again in here! You just ruined this high score I was going to set!”

  1. I’m starting to think that 2016 is going to be a nationalist election. Everything seems to pointing in the direction of a tussle between those who still believe in American nationalism and those who despise American nationalism.

PC, the campus sex hysteria, #BLM, illegal immigration, Muslim refugees – all of those are representatives of the Left that does not like America or American citizens very much. Donald Trump has been very useful, I think, by providing a voice for those who couldn’t quite articulate why they were uneasy either through lack of words or fear.

  2. I’m not watching. I might check out your live tweets, Moe, but that’s it.

I no longer have a dog in the primary, and decline to get excited about any of these jackwagons until they start their general campaign spin-up.

    1. I’m not going to be excited about any of them at all, ever. If the gop produces a candidate I can vote for, I’ll vote for

    2. I’m not going to be excited about any of them at all, ever. If the gop produces a candidate I can vote for, I’ll vote for him or her. That’s it.

  3. I find interacting with all you clowns live-blogging is a whole lot more entertaining than anything else on TV, especially with the holiday special rereuns. 😛
