Watch this Republican politician school this atheist! …Nicely, mind you, because Jesus was watching.

The amazing thing about this video?  The guy who put this up thought that it would help spread the word for atheism.

For those without the time to watch it: it’s about a minute of an atheist being smug at Sen. Marco Rubio… and then about three minutes of Rubio – kindly, gently, and with no visible malice – utterly spank said atheist. Rubio managed to suggest that the fellow was pig-ignorant of American history, hypocritical when it came to respecting religious sentiment, and representative of a distinct splinter of American thought… while complimenting the guy, which was worth extra points in my book.  Rubio even got the rest of the room to applaud the brave atheist who had entered the lion’s den – that’s a Biblical allusion, by the way – and I’m not sure but that the atheist still doesn’t get that he was given the adult equivalent of a participation trophy, there. All in all: not Team Non-theist’s strongest day.

Look, I got nothing against atheists. No fooling. But you can’t expect me to not chuckle at a dumbass, and that dude?  Total dumbass. When an ambush video goes this bad you throw it onto a data stick, toss it in the desk drawer, and forget that you ever made it. You don’t put it up as an illustration of just how bad you lost.
