Well, I just made a mistake.

I just looked up my undergraduate school online.  I’ve been having a bit of an one-sided feud with them – basically, I went to Trenton State College, and that institute of higher learning may ask me for alumni money.  The College of New Jersey, on the other hand, can kiss my… can forget about it – and I haven’t looked up the school in a while.

So I see this:

eickhoff

‘Eickhoff Hall.’  …That’s the guy.  That’s the guy that snuck in the name change, when nobody was looking. College President Harold Blipping Eickhoff.  And they renamed Community Commons after him!  There ain’t no justice.

[pause]

Sorry.  I didn’t think that I was going to be this teeth-grinding on the subject.  Those wounds run… pretty deep, as the philosopher once said.

  1. UCLA paid Hillary Rodham Clinton $300,000 for a speech that apparently lasted an hour or less. I’m waiting — WAITING! — for the next phone call from the Alumni Association asking for a donation … The hapless flunky on the other end of the phone line might learn some new vocabulary words that day.

  2. I can only imagine what word the students used for the college president that would rhyme with “Eickhoff.”
