I mean, we had the Earth in immediate peril in the first reboot ST, and both Khan and a major character ‘death’ in the second. And it certainly LOOKS like the Enterprise is taking an absolute, structural-integrity breaking beating in this one. So maybe this will continue. Which means, hey! Time travel in the next one. Something to look forward to.
