Which means that my wife and I… CAN CLEAN THE HOUSE. The broken toys can be thrown out! The broken toys can be thrown out!

The children are gone; now begins the mad descent into civilization?
Enjoy the respite.
Some of my best memories are playing with broken toys, although that was then and this is now. It’s not like they’re into smashing metal Tonka Trucks into each other to see who’s truck breaks the most now it’s all plastic pieces that can’t even be put together with super glue.
I can totally relate to that. My daughter is showing signs of being a hoarder. When we try to clean her room with her, you can’t throw anything away, “it’s too important and I am going to use it soon.” She has dived into our trash can to rescue some of her stuff. Like the idea of putting your kids to a vacation and broken toys into the trash and older toys that haven’t been used, off to Amvets.
