I’m worried about this one: Allied almost seems like it feels that it needs to be more sophisticated than it actually needs to be. When you have a movie where two assassins team up to kill a Nazi official in Casablanca, you are pretty much in the Fun Zone. You don’t need to complicate the plot with too much potential betrayal. The audience has come to the theater to see Nazis get shot, because it’s always OK to watch a Nazi get shot. Nobody’s going to judge you for enjoying that.
