Uncle Moe’s Internet Consensus Sausage Pasta.

So, basically, I had a bunch of sausages, and my wife would have rebelled if I had cooked them up and tossed them in buns.  …I don’t understand this, but I accept it.  So I crowdsourced dinner.  This is what Twitter came up.

Uncle Moe’s Internet Consensus Sausage Pasta

Ingredients

  • Egg noodles
  • half an onion
  • roasted peppers in a jar
  • sausages
  • frozen corn
  • seasoning to taste (salt and lemon pepper)

Instructions:

  • Chop up the onion and saute it in butter. Season to taste.
  • Boil up the egg noodles as per instructions on the bag.
  • Broil the sausages.
  • When the onions are browning, reduce heat to low, drain the peppers, add to onions, and cover.
  • A minute before you would normally drain the noodles, add the corn to the boiling water.
  • Drain the noodles and corn.
  • Dump the noodles, corn, peppers, and onions in a bowl.
  • Cut up the broiled, cooked sausages and add them to the bowl.
  • Mix thoroughly.  Good hot or cold.

      1. Yeah, and that’s all good .. I’d probably substitute a succotash for the straight-up corn, though.

  1. Yup, that there looks like bachelor chow to me. Probably would have cooked the sausages in the same pan, but then you have a little trouble knowing when they’re done, and they’d be crisper from broiling.
I probably would have used either noodles or corn, as a starch, and added a little green bell pepper or broccoli. But, hey, I’ve certainly cooked and eaten worse.
