Here you go: don’t blindly take online parenting advice from people you’ve never heard of before, and never will hear from again. If they really knew as much about your own particular family situation as some of them claim to, you’d be busy right now checking your house for hidden cameras while frantically calling the FBI. Which might be better for your long-term mental health than reading some of these people, frankly.
That is all.

So you’re saying your kids don’t like superhero shows?
(Innocent grin)
No, that was actually helpful (assuming that the Flash is on Netflix).
Season 1 is. I’m not sure when Season 2 will join it.
.
I didn’t think it was aimed at me, I just couldn’t resist the tease. 😉 TV show recommendations rarely provoke a reason like that. After all, they’re superficial to any sort of real “family situation”.
(But don’t tell that to my kids. One is a huge fan of The Flash, the other is a partisan of Supergirl. That a good portion of their fights are over which is cooler, tells me that they’re lacking more important things to fight about. And is good training for the Star Wars/Trek split.)
If you don’t like the received wisdom on how to raise kids, just wait for a little while, it’s sure to change to something else. (Something else just as awful, to be sure, but something else).
Marge Simpson could use your advice.
