I took a nap – slightly illness-related; I forget sometimes that I no longer have a gall bladder – and when I woke up the room was remarkably chillier. Looking at the forecast here… yup, winter’s coming right on schedule. No snow for a while yet, but it’s not going to be a particularly warm and cozy December.
Well, as long as there are no lazy winds.
Does not having a gall bladder make you more sensitive to cold? I don’t have mine and if I had my way the thermostat would be set to 62.
Not that I have noticed.
I distinctly remember a cross country training session in high school where winter ARRIVED. We were having a bit of an Indian Summer with temps in the high 70’s low 80’s, then in the middle of practice, the wind picked up and the temps dropped to the 50’s in about 5 minutes. We all had to head inside to put on sweats to finish practice.
Winter has a way of sneaking up. One year while at college in Indiana I was comfortably walking across campus in shorts that morning, and it was snowing by lunch.
