I’m sure that there’s another side to this story, but I don’t think that I particularly give a [expletive deleted]. Likewise, the shelter is blatantly trying to emotionally manipulate me and I don’t care if they do, frankly. There are infinitely worse things to get upset over than seeing somebody mistreat a dog.

There are times when it’s reasonable to put down a dog. But “the dog is sad” sure as heck ain’t one of them. And when such a time comes along, it’s your job to have it done, as the head of your dog’s pack. And don’t pretend that dropping an animal off at most animal shelters is anything other than a likely death sentence.
