Is it bad that I’ve never considered this the epitome of Led Zeppelin songs so many others have? Yeah, Bonham is a genius Thor on drums, and the lyrics are their quasi-mysticism. But Page’s riff, signature as it may be, doesn’t have anything built on it. I can’t see a song without a Page solo as Led Zeppelin’s “iconic” song.
Don’t look at me, man: my favorite is “Over the Hills & Far Away.”
While I like this song, “When the Levy Breaks” is my favorite.
