Child with very, very, VERY bad gas pains. At the point where we were on the verge of going to the hospital. But straightening up seems to have resolved that. Not that I’m going to stop being in standby for full Go To The Emergency Room mode.
I have to remind myself that my kids don’t have these scares very often.
Sounds like gallbladder to me. “Gas” isn’t suppose to be painful.
The rules of thumb and such are completely different for kids under 12. We were actually worried about testicular torsion and whatnot — thanks for THAT horror story, Internet! — but straightening up pretty much cured it on the spot for him.
Fair enough.

Wait, testicular torsion? Really?
It can apparently be a problem for some teenage boys.
Note that the rules are also different for girls a tad older’n that .. first cycle is sometimes really rough.
