OK. Cobra Kai actually is starting to look good.
I am, of course, familiar with the argument that Daniel is the bad guy in the Karate Kid movies. It’s a good argument, although obviously that wasn’t the intent of the people who made the movie. But what I’m seeing here is perhaps even better; that Daniel is going to be the jackwagon in this series. I mean, seriously: you run an auto dealership, Daniel. Batman, you are not. And you’re certainly not Kung Fury.
It looks like Cobra Kai is as much for Johnny, as it is much for some kids who getting bullied. A “Lack Of Purpose” can kill someone just as surely as a bullet can. I hope toward the end of the show Johnny and Daniel run Cobra Kai together, because, all joking aside about who was the bad guy in the movie, I want to see both these dudes get a happy ending.
I’d be down with that.
