I take it this is something?
I mean, they promised this last year, and Beyond Good and Evil 2 looked fun then – but this trailer is apparently making the fans drool. Or stare at the screen. Or twitch a little. This trailer is definitely in a different style than the previous trailer.
But, of course, the important question is: will this be on the PC? You understand my interest in that question.
The original left me cold and I just don’t get some people’s devotion to it. The last two trailers haven’t swayed me, but they are just cinematics. I’ll reserve final judgement once we have actual gameplay to evaluate.
I don’t have a strong opinion about the game, but I’ve been wondering for a while why we’re still calling these things trailers. Most movie theaters aren’t even using reels of film anymore, and this obviously wasn’t attached to the outside end one of those reels of film (hence the term “trailer”).
Interesting, how language works.
Heck, why do we call phones ‘phones?’ Making a real-time voice-only call is merely another app on the screen these days.
I don’t have one of those. But it is interesting. We still say “rewind” even though there’s no spooled tape or film…pocket computers are still called “phones”. In a way it’s good, because people like me would become confused very quickly if language changed with the same speed as technology.
Are we still calling these things “web pages”?
