Fan-made.
Gonna be honest: I’d rather have more Fallout 4 DLC — official or otherwise — than maybe the multi-player nukefest that Fallout 76 promises to be. Or maybe, just maybe… Fallout 5? With maybe a new game engine, because this one’s getting a bit long in the tooth?
I know, I know: crazy talk…
This far out (wait November is only 4 months away?!?) I think we can be a bit more optimistic about 76.
….. why?
.
I’m serious .. it’s online multi-player .. and despite proximity, it doesn’t play into the Fallout 3 (D.C.) backstory .. so what’s the appeal supposed to be here?
.
New content?
.
I’d rather play Fallout:Miami than a game where the raiders all have more free time and my options for actual achievement are all just game-grinding, if I’m being honest.

Mew
Eh, valid concerns, but the exploration should still be good- at least for a bit.

I also think Bethesda will keep a fairly close eye on the griefing situation. I do not really see where it is an upside for them if their game turns into a constant Dark Zone fight everywhere.
I know it doesn’t fit the Fallout aesthetic, but I half-expected to hear Phil Collins and Jimmy Buffet in that trailer.
I would also rather have a new Fallout single-player game. I don’t see multiplayer in my future. My town has a population of 79, so ISP’s aren’t exactly lining up to bring us decent broadband access.
