The Laundry, of course, is the RPG based on Charles Stross’s Laundry Lovecraft-spy series*; and based on this blurb at their website the company is in the process of converting everything to a new rules set. Which is interesting. I mean, it looked like they were using a variant of an older version Call of Cthulhu, which is pretty standard for horror gaming (particularly Lovecraftian gaming). Are they switching to a newer version? Converting to GUMSHOE or one of the other, more recent systems? Creating their own? I have no idea, but I look forward to seeing what they do.
Mind you, I’m not buying all of the game books again. A conversion guide, sure. But this stuff ships from England, and it can get a little expensive sometimes.

*Which has morphed into Charles’ Stross’s Laundry My God, Lovecraft-How Is It Possible That Those Three Elections Got Lost? series**, but never mind that right now. I don’t need to be scared of the same things that Charlie is, any more than I need to be scared of the stuff that kept HPL up at night.
**Trying to come up with euphemisms for that would take up half a page, and be too annoying to read.
