He played Sgt. Apone in Aliens; alas, that character was a competent authority figure in what was essentially an action movie crossed with Lovecraftian space horror, so they killed him off real early and used him as an incubator. Al Matthews still put in a memorable performance. My condolences to his family and loved ones.
