Not enough to make me want to get CBS All Access, but this Twilight Zone reboot doesn’t look too bad. I know that it’s gonna sound weird, but the fact that Jordan Peale does a pretty good Rod Sterling voice seems to help a good deal. Whether it’d be enough to counter the hypothetical problems of a Nightmare at 20,000 Feet remake is up for grabs:
OK, so it’s not a straight remake, obviously (30,000 vs 20,000 feet). I’ve got the original Shatner episode on while I’m typing this; I’m remembering it being one of the best things that he’s done, and I’d like to see if my memory was correct. The Lithgow episode in the movie was excellent, too. Fortunately, Peale has enough of a name for horror that it’d be interesting to see what he does with it.
If I had CBS All Access, that is.

Ugh, conspiracy theory-driven story change? Looks awful, frankly.
If it was just Rod Serling’s voice, replacement would be easy. But Rod Serling was much more than that. Many of the stories were his. Anything CBS does, they do in Rod Serling’s shadow. It’s the same for Star Trek without Gene Roddenberry. (Although Harlan Ellison had a lot of not-nice things to say about him.)
