They apparently hated it. The first wave of fans, however, loved loved loved Godzilla, King of the Monsters, which is fine by me. The only reason I’m not watching it tonight is because I got to go to a concert last night and I can easily watch it tomorrow morning without it screwing up anybody’s schedule. In other words: I figure that the fans are more likely to be in tune with me than the critics.

PS: GODZILLA VS KONG IS IN POST-PRODUCTION AND COMES OUT NEXT YEAR SO TRYING TO TANK THIS MOVIE WITH A BAD REVIEW WON’T DO YOU ANY GOOD CRITICS BECAUSE I WILL STILL GET TO WATCH THE NEXT ONE HA HA HA*.
*HA HA HA.
And I can’t go watch it this week because I’m on-call. I like the last one, and will probably watch this one in theater.
Brain like Godzilla v Kong…. Gut not so sure.
Two non vocal protagonists, and once the fight between them begins, neither one is of a temperament to quit before total victory, so you either get a 90 minute fight scene (potentially awesome but highly unlikely), a lot of lead up filler with non lizard or monkey activity, or multiple Ex Machinas to seperate the fights. All together more downside than up.
