Got an SCA event tomorrow for the first time in like, forever. I’m one of the baronial officers, and this is a baronial event, so I’ll be doing various volunteering stuff tomorrow afternoon, preferably in the shade because it’s gonna be hot. I’m kind of looking forward to it. It’s much easier to deal with social situations if I’m actually there to work and can take pauses to remember how to talk to adults in real time. But it still involves a certain amount of running around first, not to mention driving, yadda yadda.
And this weekend I also need to do the last revisions of this month’s Patreon entry. It started as a short story, then informed me that it was actually a novella and was going to need another ten thousand words to work properly as one. I compromised by promising to add the rest later and just turn what I had into, I guess, an extended interlude? I dunno. You can read it Sunday and tell me what you think.
