Basically, WashingCon runs what they call Tiny Dungeons: they’ve put together a variety of RPG scenarios involving Legos, from a dungeon crawl to a town mystery. And they’ve got elaborate sets for ’em, too. They’re also looking for more GMs to run game sessions this convention, so they asked me if I wanted to do a couple*.
I plan to, despite the fact that I’m already running two games. I have always wanted to do a Lego RPG session; the only thing stopping me was that I don’t have the room for all the bricks that I’d need. But since, hey, there are Lego fanatics busily making giant dungeon rooms and whatnot already; sure I’ll do a couple of freeform games. Twist my arm.
It’ll hopefully be a lot of fun. I plan to take pictures and whatnot.

*I think somebody finally noticed that I keep signing up to run RPG sessions, run RPG sessions, and then leave without increasing the net amount of drama at the convention. International hobbit of mystery, that’s me. Ya, you betcha.
I’ve used Legos for miniatures on the (now days rare) occasion that I’ve GMd. Between a few cool Medieval sets and some 3rd party accessory manufacturers (including handy 25mm hex stands), I’ve got enough bits-and-bobs to equip a session in anything from medieval to near-future. I *don’t* have full maps done in LEGO – I’ll put together important components, or re-use things I already have built. That aspect of the Tiny Dungeons event sounds like it’ll be a blast. I look forward to seeing pix.
