Mayyyyyyyyybe probably not, but I’m always up for a certain amount of irresponsible rumor-mongering.
According to Deadline, Lord Miller’s Oscar-winning filmmakers Phil Lord and Chris Miller (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse) are developing an original idea from The Martian and Artemis author Andy Weir in addition to the graphic novel Cheshire Crossing.

Plot details are being kept under wraps, but the untitled project has been described as another problem-solving science fiction adventure.
Andy Weir, of course, is the guy behind the Casey & Andy webcomic, which was later developed into a GURPS supplement of the same name. Oh, yeah, and he also wrote a book called The Martian. I understand that it did pretty well, too. I’d pay money to see him pitch C&A, if only so that I could watch the faces of the studio suits’ slowly congeal as they go through the archives.
But I am a man of simple tastes, me.

Huh.
After reading a couple dozen pages, I’m reminded of Tim Burton.
I see the jokes, appreciate all the individual components that comprise them, but something about the structure or timing just doesn’t work for me.
I should like it, but I don’t.
And yet, wasn’t irresponsible rumor-mongering part of why the Internet came to be in the first place?
How did I not know Weir did Casey and Andy? That was the first web-comic I ever binged on. What a long night/morning that was…..
.
Not sure how they’d do in a movie, but it might not suck.
