This is the 2010 live-action SPACE BATTLESHIP YAMATO that inexplicably did not get any kind of American distribution, as far as I know. I would have gone! I watched Star Blazers! I wasn’t the only one who did that growing up, either!

Haven’t even seen the show, but it’s got a killer theme song.
I have that movie on DVD. I don’t think you will be disappointed. The Wave Motion Gun…how can you go wrong?
