Nahual is a Mexican urban fantasy RPG where you play people who hunt and butcher angels for their meat and blood. Come, I will conceal nothing from you: it is the sort of RPG which uses ‘neoliberal’ as an unironic epithet. But it also does manage to overcome the temptation to spend the first twenty pages telling you how sh*tty you are for being a white capitalist, which is a real, and far too rare, accomplishment these days in the independent TTRPG industry. The art’s endearingly messed up, too.

Not sure I’d even begrudge them that rant to an extent. Their history with such lib/con dualities is far more….. interesting, than our own. It’s like a Hollywood writer limiting their concept of Capitalist to the only ones he knows: The Studio System.
